Texts to the Stations of the Cross on the Concentration Camp Memorial Site

For several years prayers at the Stations of the Cross have been held on the Friday preceding Palm Sunday on the site of the former Dachau Concentration Camp. Dachauer Forum e.V., the Catholic District Council and the Catholic pastoral worker at the Concentration Camp Memorial Site invite to these Stations of the Cross.

Taking up the Stations of the Cross handed down, traditionally numbering 14, a new form was developed to not only include the commemoration of the concentration camp, but explicitly use it as a point of departure. These prayers do not total 14 but seven stations with names that do not refer to the Passion of Christ but to particular places in the former concentration camp and present memorial site.

The texts are made available to the visitors

Anyone interested is invited to make use of these texts in whatever way may feel appropriate, maybe during a visit of a memorial site.
